Northern Alliance Radio Network

Join us beginning at 11AM today for another LIVE episode of the First Team of the Northern Alliance Radio Network. An increasingly rare reunion show of sorts, with both John Hinderaker and me scheduled to appear. I believe the first time in about a month this has happened. You won't want to miss it as we wake up the echoes, stir up that old chemistry and once again create radio magic. As always, we'll be featuring Loon of the Week, This Week in Gate Keeping, and much, much more.

It all starts at 11AM Central, locally on AM1280 the Patriot. Streaming LIVE worldwide at the web site. You can join the conversation at 651-289-4488. Following us at 1 PM, Mitch Berg and Ed Morrissey, then at 3PM it's King Banaian and the Final Word. Also, don't forget David Strom preceding us all at 9 AM.

BTW, I do believe the Patriot line up this week is the ONLY place to hear political talk radio of any sort this weekend. KSTP long ago abandoned the format on Saturdays in favor of sports talk, car repair, arts and crafts, happy chat, and baseball. And now KTLK has bailed out. All weekend long they are going to a classic rock format. (Because lord knows we don't have enough opportunities to hear that.) They are playing sounders claiming it is a temporary move, just to mix things up a little and they'll be back to conservative talkin' on Monday. Some of the radio industry rumor mongers on the Red and Nater chatboard aren't so sure, with various claims of a permanent KTLK format switch or at least a new permanent weekend music format.

However it shakes out, at least for this weekend, AM1280 the Patriot is the last man standing. The only political talk in town. And my promise to you good citizens, we will not bug out in this crucial period of time when the people are desperately yearning to talk about the propriety of the President of the United States choosing Bud Light as his beer of choice. Courage.
