John Hinderaker is away on assignment. In his stead, joining me will be my good friend and valued colleague Brad Carlson. He's done some radio in the past, but it's his first time on NARN. We thought he'd be the ideal candidate for some sub-hosting because of his light skin color for a white man (in fact he's nearly translucent). Also his complete lack of a Norwegian dialect. Unless he chooses to use one for pandering purposes - and the NARN broadcast may be the perfect place for that. Tune in to find out!
As always, we'll review the week in politics. The Coakley-Brown Senatorial race in Massachusetts, developments in the MN Gubernatorial race, and the UK Telegraph's recent list of Top 100 US Conservatives are prime suspects for our editorial vivisection.
Special guest at noon is our old friend and noted sports author Ross Bernstein. We'll be talking about his new effort I Love Brett Favre/I Hate Brett Favre. It's an investigation into the polarizing nature of the man among Minnesotans and Wisconsinites, and a perfect way to start your weekend prep for Sunday's big game against the Cowboys.
Also scheduled to appear, Twiggy the Waterskiing Squirrel, members of the Bikini Ice Fishing Team, and live reports from the trout fishing pond located in the RiverCenter itself.
Plus, Loon of the Week and This Week in Gatekeeping.
Following us at 1 PM also live from the Sportsmen's Show, Mitch Berg and Ed Morrissey. And, don't forget at 9 AM, The King Banaian Show over at our sister station, KYRC (Business 1570).
Remember, The Northern Alliance Radio Network starts Saturday at 11AM Central, locally on AM1280 the Patriot. Streaming LIVE worldwide at the web site. You can join the conversation at 651-289-4488. Don't you dare miss it!
