Incorrect usage of quotation marks. The latest egregious example greeted me as I walked in to work today and noticed a sign on a table of pocket calendars:
"Free" Calendars
So is there some catch? Are the calendars in fact not really free? Am I going to get sucked into some multi-level marketing scheme if I chance to pick one up?
If you mean free, just say it and save the quotation marks for situations where they are appropriate. You know, like the government is here to "help" you.
