HWX, with Michael Barone

The latest edition of the Hinderaker-Ward Experience (HWX) podcast is now up on Ricochet.

We taped yesterday, minutes before the full faith and credit of the USA was downgraded. Perhaps this will serve as an audio time capsule of the last moments of that gleaming city on a hill we once occupied. But you can't say we didn't try to stop the decline! Featured are interviews with two more of the Power Line Prize contestants: the creator of the $100K winner, Justin Folk with This Spending is Nuts, and the creator of the most viewed entry on YouTube, Don Brookins with Doorbell.

Next, we interview the great Michael Barone. He gives us his veteran perspective on the atmosphere in Washington right now and provides a preview of the Iowa Straw Poll next week, with a focus on the prospects of Tim Pawlenty and Michele Bachmann.

Finally we wrap things up with the Loon of the Week ("We BREATHE union.") and This Week in Gatekeeping.

Many ways to hear the podcast, including over on the mothership at Ricochet. You can also be sure to never miss an episode, by subscribing via iTunes or Feedburner. Or get the stream for your mobile device on Sticher. Or just use the player embedded in the upper right hand corner of the Fraters Libertas main page. If all of these fail, send me an email and I'll come to your house and read from the written transcript.
