Later this afternoon, John McCain will be holding a town hall meeting in Lakeville. A couple of tickets were made available for me to attend said event. But after asking a number of colleagues who I would have thought would be interested in joining me, I couldn't find anyone who was willing and available to attend.
There were some valid reasons for declining the invitation; going to visit grandma in Iowa, attending a gay wedding, going to the Gopher hockey game against the hated University of British Columbia. But the number one response I received after asking was, "Is Sarah Palin going to be there?". Not a lot of enthusiasm out there for the man at the top of the ticket.
