The Northern Alliance Radio Network goes LIVE this morning at 11 AM, understaffed, though they be. I will be taking a rare and well-deserved break today. Attempting to fill my enormous shoes will be John Hinderaker, solo. Maybe this weeek will be a good time for him to try out that Cannon Mess routine he's been begging to do for months. He's got a few alter egoes he's he's been working on, Ma Hogoney, Morgan Mediocre, Slash Slarue. Could be regional Emmy award winning stuff, we'll see.
In the second hour he'll be joined by special guest Michael Barone. You know him from Fox News, the Washington Examiner, and my favorite book, The Almanac of American Politics. He's the best election analyst in the country and we've got him exclusively on the Patriot. (Of course, If you'd rather listen to Ron Rosenbaum talk to Pat Kessler about the elections, there are local stations providing that level of insight and entertainment as well.) Michael Barone is also coming to town next week to keynote the Center for the American Experiment's Fall Briefing, which you can buy tickets to here.
