The symbol on the left, used by the DLC, is a totally innocuous run-of-the-mill bulls-eye that when placed over a state on a map means nothing more than the Democrats would like to win the state in the next election.
The symbol on the right, used by Evil Genius Sarah Palin, is a gun-sight symbol that is carefully designed to trigger unbalanced Republicans (is there any other kind?) to kill Democrat politicians when the symbol is placed on a map.
That is, according to some Democrats, anyway.
