Quick update on the struggle of "one guy in his basement against City Hall." It appears that the City of St. Louis Park is still intent on sponsoring a couple of showings of "An Inconvenient Truth" at the taxpayer-funded Westwood Hills Nature Center on Saturday April 14th at 2:45pm and Saturday April 21st at 12:30pm (details here).
However, they do seem open to the idea of having an alternative viewpoint presented as well. Whether this would be a showing of The Great Global Warming Swindle video or some other format hasn't been determined yet. While a couple of city council members have been in touch, I'm still waiting to be contacted by the mayor.
Meanwhile, I'm working with a couple of local scientists to prepare a presentation offering a few counterpoints to "An Inconvenient Truth." Al Gore's not the only one who throw some slick-looking slides together. Stay tuned.
