With this week's imposition of a statewide smoking ban in bars and restaurants in Minnesota, we couldn't have picked a better time to welcome David Harsanyi to the First Team of the Northern Alliance Radio Network to discuss his new book Nanny State: How Food Fascists, Teetotaling Do-Gooders, Priggish Moralists, and other Boneheaded Bureaucrats are Turning America into a Nation of Children. Harsanyi devotes a full chapter in "Nanny State" to smoking bans and the rather dubious health risks that proponents use to argue for them. He's also a fan of Frank Kelly Rich a.k.a.
