Falling Into A WMD Trap?

The possibility that the Bush administration is holding back on fully disclosing Iraqi WMD finds was first broached (at least to my knowledge) by Hindrocket in a post at Powerline last Sunday. The critics of the administration who are now turning up the heat on the lack of WMDs found so far are advised to recall that in the past the Bush team has proved quite successful at letting their opponents air their arguments with little rebuttal and then, just when the opposition seems to be gaining the upper hand, to kick their legs out from under them. This occurred in the debate prior to passage of the first tax cut and time after time in the run up to the war with Iraq as the administration brilliantly pursued a strategy of setting 'em up and knocking 'em down. Is the WMD flap another trap waiting to be sprung?
