MnDOT officials provided this astonishing explanation via email to the newspaper:
"The findings indicate that MnDOT supplemental agreements amount to approximately $20 million per year ... a relatively small amount, given the agency's $550 million annual construction budget," the e-mail said. "We're constantly striving to make MnDOT work better."Here's an idea. Let's cut MnDOT's budget by $20 million a year and see if they, and all you bozos out there who think they're underfunded, think that's a "relatively small amount".
