The POTUS is comin' to town on Friday and MoveOn.org is urging its local denizens to be prepared via e-mail:
Dear Twin Cities MoveOn member,
Politicians on both sides of the aisle have begun to voice increasing support for an exit plan from Iraq with a timeline that begins now. We need to keep the momentum building.
On Friday, President Bush will be in Minneapolis at a fundraiser for Congressman Mark Kennedy, a candidate for the U.S. Senate. With the media spotlight on the President's visit, members of MoveOn's Operation Democracy network have organized a rapid-response public petition drive to demand that Kennedy oppose Bush's failed Iraq policy.
Can you come out Thursday at noon, help gather petition signatures and show your support for an exit plan from Iraq? We've invited the media, so we need a strong showing!
