The Wi-Fi Man, It's Getting In My Head!
The city that I live in is considering offering residents and businesses "access to competitively-priced, high speed wireless Internet service", according to an article in the most recent edition of the newsletter the city puts out. I'm rather dubious as to whether providing such a service falls within the proper scope of government activity. But what really caught my eye in the article was this:
At a Town Hall meeting in July, many attendees expressed support for the service; however, concerns about possible health effects from a wireless Internet service were also expressed.
No word on whether the city was considering offering competitively-priced aluminum foil to residents with such concerns.
