You Can't Stop The MOB, You Can Only Hope To Contain It

And even that proves difficult at times, as evidenced by last night's festivities at the Town Hall Brewery. Despite the fact that we had a large area of the restaurant reserved for our use and two crack servers on hand to supply our every desire, the free wheeling women and men of the MOB paid no heed to the boundaries laid out for them and scattered to all corners of the establishment, especially the patio outside. After a few futile attempts to rein the crowd in, we quickly surrendered to the wishes of the masses and abandoned all hope of any organization. Which is really quite appropriate given the loose knit nature of the MOB.

From what I was able to gather, these are the bloggers who made an appearance last night. If I missed anyone, please let me know.

It seemed as if a good time was had by all. With the great beer at Town Hall, it's difficult not to. The ESB and Porter were especially good. I hope to stop by Town Hall in the near future for a more comprehensive tasting tour.

What the crowd was perhaps lacking in quantity (no doubt due in part due to the holiday weekend-who's the idiot scheduling these things anyway?) was more than made up for by quality. I'm always pleasantly surprised by the people that I get a chance to meet at these MOB events. Interesting and intelligent folk with far ranging opinions and fascinating stories to tell.

If you missed the fun last night, be sure to attend the next MOB function. The 2005 MOBy Awards (Everyone else has gratuitous, back-patting awards, why not us?) will be the affair of the year.
