The Central Committee Releases Revised Two Year Plan

Don't look now, but, if an e-mail I received today is any indication, it appears the folks at MoveOn.org have a plan for winning the '06 elections:

With President Bush's State of the Union address last night and the confirmation of Samuel Alito, it can feel like a dark moment. Here's the important thing to remember: the 2006 elections are only a few months away--and if we keep our eyes on that goal, we're in a position to win big.

So, instead of griping about the lies and inaccuracies of the president's speech last night, we're going on offense big time. We have a new plan to change control of Congress in 2006. There are three million of us on this email list. If we all commit ourselves to making this happen, it will happen. But we need to start now.

They go on to explain that by "start" they mean it's time to open your checkbook yet again in the delusional hope that this collection of misfits is finally going to accomplish something politically, despite a recent track record of failure that only a Cleveland Browns fan could truly appreciate. I know, I know. This time they have a magical "plan" that will somehow make all the difference in the world as if their opponents will suddenly become helpless in the face of this almighty plan.

"They have a plan! Run away! Run away!"

Somewhere, Karl Rove is shaking laughing in his boots
